Jerry R. Hall, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday afternoon, July 18, 2012, in a Dothan hospital. He was 76.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 20, 2012, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan, with Reverend James A. Rich officiating.Holman Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Dothan, Alabama 36302.
Mr. Hall was a native of Dothan, son of the late Sam Hall and Kathryn McKinnon Hall. He moved with his family to Columbia as a young adult and was a 1955 graduate of the Houston County High School. Mr. Hall returned to Dothan in 1954 where he lived the remainder of his lifetime. He was retired as co-owner and operator of Hall Cabinet Company. Mr. Hall was a member of the Dothan Elks Lodge No. 1887 for the past forty-three years. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Allen Hall and a sister-in-law, Wynell Peel Pitchford.Surviving relatives include his wife, Janone Peel Hall, Dothan; a son, Blake Hall and wife, Jennifer, Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Caroline, Virginia and Richard Hall; three sisters, Pat Vosters and husband, Lee, Appleton, Wisconsin; Susan Hall, Sumatra, Florida; and Phyllis Sciborski and husband, Tim; Appleton, Wisconsin; and a brother-in-law, Victor Peel and wife, Jan, Dothan.
