The Downtown Group Announces New Downtown Business; Congratulates Executive Director & Posts Job

The Downtown Group, the DTG, a medium to focus on commerce, culture and community in downtown Dothan announces a new business downtown.

USLegal has joined the downtown family. USLegal is currently in a growth phase and recently renovated the building located at 430 W. Main Street and has recognized the talents of our Executive Director Samantha Tipton.  Samantha has recently accepted a position as the director of Regional Office Development for USLegal here in Dothan.  Her position will involve managing mergers and acquisitions of additional firms, while creating a unified branding and marketing plan throughout the region.

The Downtown Group is proud and saddened at the same time to be losing a talented and valuable executive director. However, extremely pleased to know that Samantha will be taking on a new role with the DTG as a board member.

 
The DTG will post for the job of Executive Director. This is a contract position requiring a strong foundation in public administration, a thorough knowledge of city and county regulations, responsible for obtaining funding through grants and local private public partnerships. This position will be posted for two weeks, interviews will be conducted, and a recommendation will be made to the Board of Directors of the DTG in the September board meeting.
