Ingram Loses Arrest Powers

Eddie Ingram is no longer a certified police officer in Alabama.

WKRG in Mobile is reporting that the Summerdale chief turned in his gun and badge to the mayor this week.

The reason for the de-certification - the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission revoked Ingram's certification. The move came after a two-month investigation according to the report.

The commission found Ingram guilty of providing false and misleading information.

Ingram says it was all a mistake...and a political witch hunt.

Ingram has hired an attorney and is appealing the ruling.
