The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department is searching for the man who robbed and raped an 82-year old woman.

Investigators tell ABC 33/40 their leads have hit a brick wall. It is unclear if the attacker is local or may have been passing through the area.

The woman described her attacker as a black man, in his 40s or 50s, heavy set, and clean shaven. The victim says the man was driving very new looking white car.

The woman broke her arm and suffered a heart attack, and is recovering at a hospital in Gadsden.
