Mrs. Rita McCullar Sartain of Geneva passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at her residence. She was 99.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, July 13, 2012 from the Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, Alabama. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Jasper from 6 until 8pm on Monday, July 16, 2012.
Mrs. Sartain was born April 20, 1913 in Double Springs, Alabama to the late Riley S. and Mamie Burke McCullar. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Geneva, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Sartain.
Survivors include her son: Jan F. Sartain and his wife Linda, Geneva, AL, 2 sisters: Laura Singleton, Jasper, AL, Clara Nell King and her husband Odis, Selma, AL, 2 grandchildren: Rachel Nowling and Jason Sartain and his wife Heather, 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
