Richard Keith Butler, Jr., CW3 (Ret.), born on October 28, 1951, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at his home in Enterprise, surrounded by his wife, Hiltrud Butler; his daughters, Christina Butler Vanderloo, Rebecca Butler, Laura Butler and Sarah Butler; and his granddaughter, Madeline Vanderloo.He is also survived by his son-in-law, Dr. John Vanderloo, as well as his siblings and their spouses; Regina and Barry Meeks; Debbie and Ricky Breeden; Wayne and Janet Butler; and Teresa and Randy Shifflett; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be Friday, July 13^th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Searcy Funeral Home.Funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 14^th at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Enterprise with Father Gregory Okorobia officiating.Burial will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Elevator Fund, 123 Heath Street, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.It was important to Keith that the entire building be accessible to everyone.
