Mrs. Marjorie Ann Berry Robertson, 57 of Dothan passed away in Birmingham at UAB Hospital, Monday, July 2, 2012.
Graveside services will be held at Memory Hill Cemetery at 9 A.M. Thursday, July 5, 2012.
The family will receive friends at the First Christian Church of Dothan from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday, July 5, 2012, followed by the Funeral Service at First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Robertson, step children, Robert Robertson, Kathryn Martin, and four grandchildren whom she adored, her twin brother, Dr. Michael A. Berry, nephew, Robert W. Berry, Jr., and many cousins.
Margie was preceded in death by parents, Brooksie and Bill Berry and brother, Robert W. Berry, Sr.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Methodist Children's Home, 3140 Zelda Court, Montgomery, AL 36106, First Christian Church of Dothan, 1401 N. Cherokee Ave, Dothan, AL 36303, or to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Rd, Montgomery, AL 36111.
Margie was a 1973 graduate of Dothan High School. Margie graduated from the University of Alabama in 1977 with a BS degree in Social Welfare. Margie has been an Alabama licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) and an Academy of Certified Bachelor Social Workers (ASBSW) for over 20 years.
Margie has been a member of the Alabama Conference of Social Workers for over 20 years and currently serves as the Conference President. Margie served as co-chair of the Southeast Alabama National Association of Social Workers for the past 5 years. Margie was presently employed with the United Methodist Children's Home where she served as the Regional Director for Therapeutic Foster Care, Focus Program, The Settlement Boy's Group Home for the last 22 years.
