The body of a swimmer who went missing off Panama City Beach has been found.

Police say the body of Tay Elliot was discovered by a woman Wednesday morning at around 7a.m. in the area of beach access 47.

Elliot went missing on Monday near the Days Inn on Front Beach Road, a short distance from where he was found. A report indicates Mario Waldrop, 19, of New Albany, Mississippi was swimming in the Gulf and became distressed.

Waldrop's cousins attempted to rescue him and also became distressed.  However, they were rescued by a person who saw them in trouble and helped.
