Updated: July 4, 2012

A discount store in Dothan was robbed Wednesday morning by a man believed armed with a gun---though the type of weapon could not be immediately be confirmed.

Dollar General, located at Porter Square, was targeted by the bandit at 9:25 am---shortly after the store opened.

The robber--and police believe only one was involved---was last seen running on foot northward along Herring Street.

Nobody was reported injured in the holdup.
