Alabama's Nick Saban hasn't been afraid to schedule marquee out of conference opponents in recent years but according to a report by the Wisconsin State Journal, Saban recently declined an opportunity to play a home-and-home series with the Wisconsin Badgers.

According to Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez, an effort was made, with the cooperation of ESPN, to organize a game between the Tide and Badgers at a neutral site but after Wisconsin head coach Brett Bielema proposed instead that the two teams play a two-game, home-and-home series, Saban declined the offer.
