Blondell Hankins Lisenby

Blondell Hankins Lisenby, a resident of Abbeville, died early Tuesday morning, July 3, 2012, in the UAB Hospital in Birmingham. She was 64.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 5, 2012, in the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Dobbs and Reverend Mike Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church, c/o Susie Blalock, 570 Hickory Grove Road, Abbeville, AL. 36310.
Mrs. Lisenby was a lifelong resident of Abbeville, daughter of the late Ernest Hankins and Lodell Blalock Hankins. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Lisenby was retired, due to disability, from WestPoint Stevens. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hankins Cook and a niece, Sabrina Cook.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Carl Lisenby, Jr., Abbeville; a daughter, Linda Norton and husband, Brennon; a son, Jason Lisenby and wife, Michelle, all of Headland; eight grandchildren, Leigh Tucker (James), Dusty Lindsey (Katie), Cassie Smith, Coleman Norton, Rachel Lisenby, Brent Lisenby, Garett Lisenby and Gracie Lisenby; four great-grandchildren, Leah Kate Kozerski, Emily Lindsey, Maggie Mae Tucker and Collin Ulrich; a brother-in-law, Jerry Cook, Dothan; a niece, Candy Patrick (Jeff) and nephew, Sam Cook (Kim); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law from the Lisenby family, Joan Holland (Marvette), Mary Worrell (Donald), Dinah Burkett (Kenneth) and Harmon Lisenby (Darlene).
