William Joseph "Billy" Fisher

William Joseph "Billy" Fisher, 57, of Midland City passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 6 pm Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Fisher was born August 17, 1954 in Laredo, TX to the late William and Mabel Jean Fisher. He spent the early part of his life in Kansas City, MO and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He lived in Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, and Atlanta, GA prior to moving to Midland City in 2005. He was employed with Maaco Paint and Body and also with the Dothan Eagle until his illness. In his spare time Billy enjoyed working in his garden, picking his guitar and singing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother David Fisher.
Survivors include his wife Carol Fisher of Midland City; a son Brian (Kim) Robertson of Dothan; a daughter Amanda (Mike) Moore of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Grant Thomas and Garrett Thomas; a brother Danny Fisher of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law Cindy Fisher of Kansas City, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
