Man Admits He Threatened To Shoot Employees At Trucking Company

A man who prosecutors say threatened employees at a Houston County trucking company from which he had been terminated has pleaded guilty.  Phillip Lee Jensen, 30, admitted making terrorist threats after he lost his job in 2008 at S and A Trucking Company.

Houston County Assistant District Attorney Kristin Shields said Jensen entered a blind plea Wednesday and was sentenced to four years in prison by Circuit Judge Larry Anderson.

Jensen's attorney asked Judge Anderson to place him on probation---a matter which will be considered at a later date.  "I will vehemently oppose probation," said Shields.

Reports indicate Jensen threatened to shoot employees and damage or destroy equipment at the trucking firm.  No employee was hurt or equipment damaged.

Court records indicate Jensen was placed on pretrial diversion---avoiding jail time-- in January, 2009.  However, prosecutors say he failed to meet conditions of the program.  Jensen was arrested later on drug charges in Baldwin County and is currently serving a prison sentence.
