Three new principals have been named at schools in Dothan.  They are Stan Eldridge who has been assigned to Dothan High, Charles Corbett at Girard Middle, and Edward Fleming at PASS Academy.

Eldridge has, most recently, served as an assistant principal at DHS and replaces Matt Humphrey who recently resigned.  The school's website shows Eldridge has served at the school the past five years.  He previously taught at Dale County and Slocomb schools.

Fleming, also a DHS assistant principal, is a 1974 graduate of the school who spent much of his career in coaching in Eufaula and Dothan.

Corbitt is also a graduate of Dothan High School who, most recently, served as principal of Selma Street Elementary School.  He fills the vacancy at Girard Middle created by the firing of Greg Yance who challenged his dismissal in court and lost.

The Dothan Board of Education approved the appointments Wednesday morning upon the recommendation of Superintendent Tim Wilder.
