Dothan Man Arrested On Robbery Charges

On June 26, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a robbery of an individual at 1060 West Main Street.

Upon arrival, police learned the victim, an adult female, was walking into the business when a man walked up behind her, grabbed her purse strap and attempted to run away with the purse. As a result, the victim was drug down the sidewalk until the suspect released the purse.

Medics responded and treated the victim on scene for scrapes and lacerations on her knees and hands.

Police immediately saturated the area searching for the suspect. Within minutes, police located the suspect and took him into custody bringing the case to a quick close.

      Errick Pope, black male, 50 years of age, of Tate Drive was arrested and charged with Third Degree Robbery with a $15,000 bond.
