Dothan Police Arrest Man On Domestic Violence Charges

On June 23, 2012 a woman walked into the Dothan Police Department and reported she had been assaulted by her boyfriend.

The victim told police dispute started when she came home from work. She stated that her boyfriend was intoxicated and confrontational when she arrived. The victim drove her boyfriend to a relatives house and said during the drive her boyfriend became argumentative and then violent when he drew a fold out knife from his pocket and held it to her neck causing a puncture wound.

During the incident the victim additionally sustained multiple cuts to her right hand. Police arrested Rufus Harper Junior for domestic violence.

     Rufus Daniel Harper Junior, black male, 30 years of age, of Denton Road was arrested and charged with Second Degree Domestic Violence with bond being established later today.
