The Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center, or TEDAC, is moving to the Arsenal from Quantico, Virginia.
TEDAC was created to help the Department of Defense fight the threat of improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to the FBI.
U.S. Senator Richard Shelby secured $125 Million dollars for the project.
Both Sen. Shelby and FBI Director Robert Mueller are expected to attend the ground-breaking at 9:30 this morning.
U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks and Arsenal commander Maj. Gen. Lynn Collyar are also expected to attend.
