Former Auburn football player Antonio Goodwin was sentenced to 15 years in prison today for first-degree robbery.

Lee County Circuit Court Judge Christopher Hughes made the sentence after weighing the amount of people who testified on Goodwin's behalf.

Goodwin was found guilty in April for his participation in an armed home invasion.

He apologized "for my action and poor judgement," saying he has become a better person and better decision maker since being arrested.

Goodwin's former teammates Mike McNeil, Dakota Moseley and Shaun Kitchens are still awaiting trial for their roles in the robbery.
