The excitement continues to grow as young golfers will arrive in nine days for one of the most traditionally rich junior golf tournaments in the country and the world... The Future Masters.

The top junior golfers in the country will tee off at Dothan Country Club at the end of this month for the 63rd annual Future Masters.

Players and parents will spend a week in the city competing for championships, in which past participants have won 12 major titles, three of them Masters' wins.

Tournament Director Kevin Klein says this year's competition will be strong at all levels.

"Yup, local kid, Tommy Ponder won it last year in the 10 & under," Klein said. "He's back. Older age group, I want to say three of the top five are back. Ryan Benton, Victor Wiggins, Robby Shelton, all perennial winners here, all back to compete against each other for one of the last times."

Players will stick their tees in the ground on Sunday, June 24 and conclude play on Saturday June 30.
