Tear gas canisters were thrown in the house and, at one point, there was reporteds coughing sound heard. However, after officers search the home, including attic and and air conditioning unit, Leonard had still not been found.
Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange, in a media briefing, said the information received about Leonard being in the house came from the owner and was separate of another report regarding the accused killer in the neighborhood.
