Severe Storms Possibly On The Way

Some much-needed rainfall is likely headed our way, but as is often the case, with it comes the threat of severe storms. The National Weather Service said the storms could strike late Monday but the threat is more acute Tuesday.
"Our main threat will be strong wind gusts and damaging hail," Houston County EMA Director Clark Mathews said. Matthews said the bad weather threat will first rear its head over south central Georgia then the threat area will move west into Alabama.
Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service:
Today: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm.
Some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. Mostly sunny and
hot, with a high near 95. West wind between 10 and 15 mph.
Tonight: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly
cloudy, with a low around 73. West wind between 10 and 15 mph.
Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1pm. Some
storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. Partly sunny, with
a high near 93. West northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of
precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an
inch possible.
Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly
cloudy, with a low around 73. West wind around 10 mph.
Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Partly
sunny, with a high near 91. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is
