Geraldine Carson, 83, of Headland passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday at Tumbleton Community Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 pm until 8 pm Friday.
Mrs. Carson was born October 13, 1928 in West Palm Beach, Florida and lived the early years of her life there. Mrs. Carson moved to the Wiregrass area over fifty years ago and she has been employed with the Henry County Board of Education as a bus driver for the past thirty years until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of Tumbleton Community Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her son Charles (Gaynell) Brinkley, Bonifay, FL; her daughter, Kathy Danzie and her fianc, William Shelley, Headland; five grandchildren, Chucky Brinkley, Sandy Woodham, David Brinkley, Michael Brinkley and Klaudia Danzie; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Moody, Dothan and Ernest Moody, Alaska; her sister, Elizabeth (Gino) Chesi, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
