Ms. Carol Jean Powell Jenkins of Samson, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012.She was 78.
A memorial service will be announced later with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
Ms. Jenkins was born April 3, 1934, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late William Amie and Reba Skipper Powell.She was a graduate of Coffee Springs High School and worked as a bookkeeper for the Samson Housing Authority.She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, a brother, William Charles Powell, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, John Emmett Jenkins, Jr. (Lisa), Coffee Springs; two daughters: Tami Mock, Samson, and Gina Jordan (Rod), Las Cruces, NM; one sister, Joyce Walters, Atlanta, GA; one brother, Mike Powell, Cairo, GA; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other extended family and friends.
