Mr. Donald N. Garrett of Geneva passed away at his residence on May 9, 2012. He was 87. Burial will be held at a later date in Panama City, Florida. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Geneva Play Ground Fund. 309 South Commerce Street Geneva, AL 36340
Mr. Garrett was born in DeFuniak Springs, Florida on May 2, 1925 to the late T. O. and Altha Niles Garrett. Mr. Garrett graduated from Bay High School in 1947. He was also a S.S. Franklin Survivor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
He is Survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna Kuhn Garrett of Geneva; three daughters, Linda Markham (Ralph) of Panama City, FL, Laura Rhodes (Bill) and Mary Boadwine both of Geneva; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The Family would like to thank a special grandson and caretaker, Ronnie Everett of Geneva and the staff of Gentevia Hospice.
