Troy Police Investigating Weekend Shooting

Troy Police responded to a reported shooting at approximately 1:45 am Sunday at a business known as the Star Cafe on US Highway 231 South.

The shooting is the result of an altercation between two black males in the business according to police reports. The shooting is reported to have occurred outside the business.  The victim was shot in the neck with a handgun.

The shooter ran from the scene into a wooded area behind the business. 

Care Ambulance Service transported the victim to Troy Medical Center. He was later transferred to a Birmingham hospital in critical condition.
