Northview's Steve Garrett has apparently been released from his duties as head baseball coach, according to the Dothan Eagle.
The school has yet to confirm the news, however, according to the newspaper, several Cougars baseball players acknowledged the dismissal on Tuesday afternoon.
WDHN tried to reach out to Dothan City Schools Superintendent Tim Wilder for comment but would not return our calls. Also Northview principal Ron Snell did not care to comment on the issue.
Garrett had been with the Cougars for the last three seasons. He led the team to an 83-49 record during his tenure.
The former Northview baseball coach was ejected during Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Enterprise Wildcats, in what would be his final game as head coach.
