A performing arts center at Enterprise High School is creating a big economic impact.  In fact, the Chamber of Commerce said the impact is "very" significant.

"In the past couple of months, Enterprise High has had quite a number of events that have led to a $1.2 million impact for our area," said Christy Elmore with the Chamber.  She said a series of events held at the school brought in over 5,000 students who spent at least two nights in Enterprise.

"(The school) is bringing in major competitions like the Southland Music Festival, a band competition, and a agricultural competition that brought people in from all over the state," said Elmore.

The Performing Arts Center---part of the new school which opened in 2010--seats over 1800 people.  The impact dollars generated by the Center and school is expected to be about $3-million this year.
