Downtown Dothan Redevelopment Authority Announces Contest For The Nest On Foster

By: Stephen Crews
Updated: April 20, 2012
Press Release

The Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority is proud to announce the opening of our
contest for The Nest on Foster. We have partnered with the Troy University's Sorrell College of
Business Dothan to administer this contest, and are thankful for the role that they play in fostering
the entrepreneurial spirit in our community.

The Nest on Foster is Dothan's first retail incubator. It is located at 131 N. Foster Street and will
be home to four new retail ventures. The concept of an incubator is to allow for a low cost option
for entrepreneurs to test their business model before venturing out into their own independent
space. The Nest on Foster will be the hatching place for many of Dothan's great new businesses.

We are proud to have these four spaces available to the entrepreneurs of Dothan, and want to start
the project off with a great chance for one lucky contest winner.

The contest is open to the general public. If you have a great retail business idea that you would
like to make happen, then enter this contest for a chance to win 6 months free rent at The Nest on
Foster.

Additionally, through Troy University's generosity you will have the opportunity to work
directly with the Sorrell College of Business during the fall semester as a case study for a college
class that will analyze your business model and help you better understand the trends. This is a
great opportunity and we hope you are as excited about this project as we are.

There are three places to receive contest information: website- www.theddra.org; emailjansen@
theddra.org; or call 334.699.8118.
