ALABAMA, April 19, 2012 - Two locations on Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail were recently named to Golf Magazine's "Premier Golf Resorts 2012." Both locations, Ross Bridge in Birmingham and Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, appear as this year's Silver Medal Winners. Ross Bridge and Lakewood are the only golf locations in Alabama to be included on the 2012 list.

Ross Bridge and Lakewood join other Silver Medal Winners like Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in Asheville, N.C., the Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay in California, Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., and multiple other resorts in Hawaii and across the United States. According to Golf Magazine the list ranks the "game's greatest resorts." To access the full list of golf resorts, please visit www.golf.com/courses-and-travel/premier-resorts.

Ross Bridge and Lakewood Golf Club receive this honor during the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's 20th Anniversary Celebration. During 2012, the Trail launched a number of initiatives to properly commemorate 20 years of success in Alabama, including special 20th anniversary merchandise and apparel available in all clubhouses.
