Dothan City Track Meet Set for April 21st

Dothan Leisure Services announces Dothan's 36th Annual City Track Meet, Saturday, April 21st. Registration will be held from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at the Dothan High School track. Boys and girls ages 7-14 are invited to participate. The age control date is December 31st of the current year. Participation is limited to Houston County residents only.

Participants will be competing in several areas. Running events include the 50, 100, and 200-meter dashes and the 400, 800, and 1600-meter runs. The softball throw and standing broad jump will make up the field events. Each individual may choose to compete in two (2) field events and one (1) running event or two (2) running events and one (1) field event.

All participants will receive participation ribbons and the first 200 participants will receive t-shirts.. Competitors ages 9-14 will receive ribbons for First Place through Sixth Place. First place winners in each event will advance to the State Track Meet in Anniston, on May 19th.
