Barbour County's Whigham Named Class 2A Player of the Year

Takwain Whigham of Barbour County won the boys Class 2A Player of the Year honor for the state as voted by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.

Whigham helped lead the Jaguars to the 2A state title in 2011 and was named tournament MVP.

Other boys finalists were Wendell Snow of Central-Hayneville and Stefan Zecevic of Asbury.
