Mr. Billie Joe Wiginton

Mr. Billie Joe Wiginton of Samson passed away at Wiregrass Nursing Home on
Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was 78. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with
Rev. Sam Totten officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with
Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends prior
to the service Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Mr. Wiginton was born in Hamilton, AL on July 13, 1933 to the late Valley A. Wiginton and Lois Etta Clark Wiginton. He worked in farming for most of his life. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Eva Dell Fikes, Lora Bell Burrow, Janice Wiginton and Jessie Prestridge; and his brother, I.J. Wiginton.
Survivors include his brother, Edwin Wiginton and wife, Corine, of Samson; two sisters, Evelyn Duke and husband, Jackie, of Amory, MS and Varnell McCowan of Columbus, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
