Georgia State Joins Sun Belt

Georgia State has accepted the Sun Belt's invitation to join the conference for the 2013 season.

The Panthers will play in the Football Championship Subdivision in the Colonial Athletic Association until the move on next year.

The school will play a Sun Belt schedule in football in 2013 and will be eligibile to compete in postseason play and a conference championship the following year.

The institution will be moving to the Sun Belt in all sports.
