From Troy Media Relations:

TROY, Ala. - With the second week of spring practice completed at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the Troy football team will enjoy a change of venue on Friday, April 6, when they travel to Phenix City, Ala. to take part in their second scrimmage of the spring.

The Trojans are now in the home-stretch of the spring schedule as they have just two practices remaining, which will be next Tuesday and Thursday. Friday night's game will take place on the campus of Central High School in Phenix City, Ala at Garrett-Harrison Stadium.

In last week's scrimmage in Troy, the offense scored on the first five possessions, but later settled down. D.J. Taylor was the highlight for the offense as he rushed for 110 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns.

Corey Robinson, Deon Anthony, Luke Barnes, Kevin Pantastico, Dallas Tidwell and Liam Miller all saw action at quarterback, with Robinson taking the majority of the snaps.

Troy is still searching to determine personnel for the special teams unit as last year's personnel all graduated. The Trojans will have to replace punter Will Goggans, kicker Michael Taylor and long-snapper Wes Henry.

Friday night's game is free and open to the public. Troy will have one more scrimmage on April 14, to close out the spring season.
