Arkansas' Petrino Placed on Administrative Leave

Updated: April 6, 2012

The University of Arkansas has put head football coach Bobby Petrino on paid leave tonight after he failed to tell the truth about the fact that he had a female employee on his motorcycle when he crashed last weekend.

Petrino apologized and said he wanted to protect his family and that is why he did not come out and be forthright as he tried to keep an "inappropriate relationship from becoming public."

A police report released today said that 25-year old Jessica Dorrell is the woman of interest in the case. Dorrell is a former Razorback volleyball player and current Razorback Foundation fundraiser. She was not injured in the accident.

Athletic Director Jeff Long says he will make a decision on Petrino's future in the coming days as he reviews the fact in the investigation.
