Enterprise Police Arrest Woman For Hit And Run Involving Unmarked Police Car

Enterprise Police arrested a woman after she hit an unmarked Enterprise Police car and fled the scene.

At approximately 2:45PM, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Dixie Drive and Apache Drive involving the unmarked police car and a white Pontiac Grand Am. The officer driving the police car was injured in accident and was transported to the Medical Center Enterprise by the Enterprise Rescue Squad.

During the course of the accident investigation, the driver of the Pontiac was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol and felony leaving the scene of an accident involving injury.

The driver was identified as Kecha L. Stewart 33, of Doe Run Drive in Newton Alabama.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
