Ansell To Close Dothan Operation

Updated: March 29, 2012

Ansell Healthcare Products LLC, a U. S. based subsidiary of Ansell Ltd., today announced the decision to discontinue its condom packaging operations at its Dothan, Alabama facility by the end of June 2012.

The condom packaging operations will be transitioned to a third-party provider of packaging services located within the United States.

After thorough analysis and planning, Ansell determined that the transition was necessary in order to streamline Ansell's supply chain and improve its global competitiveness.

With this transition, a total of 31 positions will be eliminated at the Dothan facility.

The Ansell management team is extremely appreciative for the service
that these employees have given to Ansell.

A number of Ansell employees at the facility whose job responsibilities are not directly related to the condom packaging operations will remain with the organization and continue to be based
in the Dothan area.

Many of the Dothan employees have been part of the Ansell family for many years and have done a great job.

Their continued dedication will allow Ansell to seamlessly transition this operation while continuing to provide customers with quality products and services.
