The Enterprise Police Department is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision involving injuries that occurred near Wal-Mart.

At approximately 6:41 PM, Wednesday March 21, officers of the Enterprise Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle collision near Wal-Mart. Upon arrival officers found that there were five vehicles involved in the collision and that the driver of one of the vehicles was trapped in her vehicle. Several witnesses to the collision stated that a white Ford F350 pickup was the primary contributor to the collision. The witnesses stated that the vehicle had been traveling at a high rate of speed, was being driven erratically, and had sped through a red light shortly before the collision, nearly causing a separate collision at that time. Other witnesses stated that the driver of the vehicle had fled from the scene, running north.

Officers obtained a description of the suspect and canvassed the area in a search for him. With assistance from one of the witnesses, who was able to keep track of the suspect's location, the officers were able to locate the suspect inside McDonalds.

The injuries sustained to the entrapped driver are not believed to be life-threatening. The suspect, Robert Ryan Gibbs, has been arrested on several charges related to the collision. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.
