AU's Ward Under FBI Investigation for Alleged Point Shaving

Yahoo Sports is reporting the FBI is investigating Auburn guard, Varez Ward for alleged point shaving.

In a report released today, Yahoo cites three anonymous sources saying the losses to Alabama on Feb. 7 and Arkansas on Jan. 25 are the focus of the investigation.

Sophomore guard Chris Denson was also named, however, he has since been questioned and cleared of any wrongdoing.

The school reportedly called the FBI and the NCAA as soon as the alleged shaving was brought to their attention.

Ward was suspended back in February for what Tigers head coach, Tony Barbee said was an undisclosed violation of team rules.
