Five members of the Dothan Police Athletic League will have the opportunity of a lifetime at the end of the month.

On Feb.28, five boxers will compete in the Olympic Trials in Fort Carson, Colorado.

In what will be an advancing tournament, each fighter will have an equal chance to make the United States Olympic Team.

If they win their first bouts, they continue to move on through the tournament. However, one loss and their dreams are shattered.

Boxing Coach, Johnny Trawick has been training Luai Barakat, Corey Lampley, Kenny Smith Jr., Darien Troop, and Jamal Flowers for the trials at Fort Carson.

The Dothan Police Department's Athletic League Program gives young people a chance to move their lives in the right direction.

The police department says they are proud and excited for their boxers.
