Josh
Rultenberg is excited and honored to be the Sports Director at WDHN.
Before
coming to Dothan, Josh graduated from Temple University with a degree in
Broadcast Journalism. At Temple, he served as the main sports
anchor/reporter for the university's student-run television news
program, Temple
Update. During his time at Temple, he demonstrated his passion and commitment, traveling across the country to cover the Owls.
Josh
covered Temple's Men's Basketball team in Orlando, Florida during the
2010
Old-Spice Classic, and went to Tucson, Arizona and Jacksonville, Florida
for their past two NCAA Tournament appearances. While in Tucson, Josh
did a story about a Temple fan, who was born with down syndrome. FOX29
in Philadelphia decided to air their story
on the 10 o'clock news entitled "A Lifelong Fan." Josh says this has
been his favorite and most memorable story of his young career.
In 2010, Josh reported on the Temple football team everyday during training
camp in a series called Owl Outlook, which gave an in-depth look at the players and coaches on the squad.
Other
highlights for Josh include interviewing MSNBC's Chris Matthews, Miami
University Head Football Coach Al Golden, Temple Head Men's Basketball
Coach Fran Dunphy, Philadelphia 76ers Lou Williams and Lavoy Allen, New
York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson, Philadelphia Eagles
safety Jaiquawn Jarrett, and Philadelphia Phillies
broadcasters Tom McCarthy and Scott Franzke .
When
he is not working, Josh enjoys playing tennis and spending time with
his
friends and family. However, Josh is a talented reporter capable of
covering a broad range of stories and looks forward to reporting on
everything Alabama, especially the Alabama-Auburn rivalry. You can see
Josh every week night on WDHN News at 5,6, and 10.
