Josh Rultenberg, Sports Director

By: Stephen Crews
Updated: May 24, 2013
Josh Rultenberg has been the Sports Director at WDHN since July 2011. During his time in the Wiregrass, Josh has covered many local sporting events like the Future Masters and also traveled to Alabama, Auburn, Troy, and Florida State to report on their football teams. Josh's two favorite moments of 2013 were covering the BCS National Championship Game in Miami and speaking with CNN Newsroom's, Soledad O'Brien during the 6-day hostage situation in Midland City.

Before coming to Dothan, Josh graduated from Temple University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. At Temple, he served as one of the main sports anchor/reporter for the university's student-run television news program,
Temple Update. During his time at Temple, he demonstrated his passion and commitment, traveling across the country to cover the Owls.

Josh covered the Temple's Men's Basketball team in Orlando, Florida during the 2010 Old-Spice Classic, and went to Tucson, Arizona and Jacksonville, Florida for their NCAA Tournament appearances. While in Tucson, Josh did a story about a Temple fan, who was born with down syndrome. FOX29 in Philadelphia decided to air their story on the 10 o'clock news entitled "A Lifelong Fan." Josh says this has been his favorite and most memorable story of his young career, for which he won a NATAS Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award

When he is not working, Josh enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his friends and family. You can see Josh every week night on WDHN News at 6 and 10. You can email Josh at josh@wdhn.com.
