In the early 1990's, TOTO developed a new consumer bathroom product called the "Zoe". It features a gentle technology to bring comfort as well as beauty into the bathroom. It incorporates washing with water and a air purification feature. The low front and high back provide better support and do not impede circulation. Four large rubber bumpers under the seat soften the impact of sitting. The design aesthetics allows Zoe to complement any bathroom's decor. Zoe won the 1995 Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
