Alabama Softball Team Sweeps Top-Ranked Georgia

The second-ranked Alabama Softball Team took control of the SEC and the national rankings, sweeping top-ranked Georgia over the weekend. The Crimson Tide won 2-1, 6-4 and 9-5, to remain undefeated in conference play.

Tide freshman star Jackie Traina continued her early season onslaught, earning a save in the series finale and hitting a grand slam. She also won the second game of the series, earning SEC Player of the Week honors.

Alabama is 29-1 on the season, including a 5-0 mark in the SEC. The Crimson Tide will play it's first conference road games of the season on Tuesday, visiting Tennessee for a double header.
