Teresa McGee is accused of kidnapping two brothers from Russelville. She doesn’t deny taking the boys. She says she was getting them out of a bad situation.

"No toys, no nothing at their house. Their father would hit, kick, throw, choke and throw them through the house. There's holes in the floor. No running water, no flushing toilet. And I said 'why don't you let me help you?' I'll babysit,” says McGee.

McGee says she made sure 5-year-old, Angel Montoya and his 6-year-old brother, Christian were in school and tried to take care of them. But, their home life was just too much.

“The boys asked for food and I said 'did you eat?' They said 'no, our dad ate our food.' Well they said our dad's had sex in front of us.' Which is not a good thing,” said McGee.

According to McGee, Christian and Angel lived in a house with holes in the floor and the walls. When asked by she took them, she said, it was for the boys. “Think about it. If you knew somebody that was being hit and kicked at five and six do you think they would live long in their predicaments? So would you have not thought about doing the same thing?”
