The Alabama Basketball Team got the bad news last night. The Crimson Tide learned they had been left out of the NCAA Tournament.

The selection committee passed on the Tide, despite the team's 12-4 conference record and a win in the league tournament. Alabama watched as teams like VCU, UAB and Georgia, a team the Tide beat twice, earned bids.

So, instead of getting ready for the big dance, Alabama is gearing up for the NIT. That's not exactly where the Tide hoped they would end up, but the team is trying to make the best of it. After all, the Tide is still playing.

Alabama will host Coastal Carolina on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. on ESPNU. Ole Miss is the only other SEC team in the NIT field, visiting California on Wednesday night.
