Mark Ingram has a national championship ring, a lengthy highlight reel of great players and the 2009 Heisman Trophy. But, Alabama's running back still had work to do during Pro Day on Wednesday.

Ingram ran a 4.62 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine last week, so he needed a better showing at Pro Day to solidify his status as a first round pick. The former Crimson Tide running back did exactly that, running between a 4.47 and a 4.52 40-yard dash.

He was one of several Tide players to work out for NFL scouts. But, not every Tide star took part, with players like Julio Jones and Greg McElroy sitting out the event due to injury.

Both players attended Pro Day to support teammates and meet with scouts. McElroy hopes NFL scouts will return to Tuscaloosa next month, when he'll work out with Preston Dial on April 5th. Both players sat out today's Pro Day, as they recover from injuries.
