The top college football players in this year's NFL Draft have spent the past four days trying to impress NFL personnel. And, several former Auburn and Alabama players have done exactly that.
Alabama's Julio Jones had a dynamic workout, running one of the fastest times for wide receivers at the 40-yard dash, and nearly setting the Combine record in the broad jump. Jones' former teammate, Greg McElroy, had an equally impressive day in the classroom, reportedly scoring a 48 out of 50 on the Wonderlic Test.
Then, there's Cam Newton, one of the most polarizing figures in this year's draft. Newton came to Indianapolis trying to score high on the character scale as well as on the field, and he did a pretty good job, starting with the media.
Newton's forrmer teammate Nick Fairley hit the field on Monday, working with defensive linemen. The Combine wraps up on Wednesday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
