North Carolina Woman Arrested On Drug Charges In Marianna

On February 19th, 2011 at approximately 3:10am, Officers with the Marianna Police Department came in contact with a black female, identified as Lashaun Lassiter, on Kelson Avenue.
Upon Officers making contact with Lassiter, a field interview and a warrant check were performed. The check revealed that Lassiter did have an active warrant out of North Carolina for Vioaltion of Probation. Lassiter was placed under arrest and a search of her persons was conducted.
Lassiter was found to be in possession of a small baggie and straw, which both contained Cocaine residue. Lassiter was subsequently charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lassiter was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance and extradition to North Carolina.
