The Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce says a deal is in the works for a company to buy the old Sony building.

Tuesday those iconic blue letters that spent more than 30 years on the building were gone. Chamber President Matt Parker says a deal on the property could close as soon as Friday. There's no word on who the buyer is but we're told the deal will allow a company that uses the back of the building to stay put.

Sony spent the better part of last year phasing out production at the Dothan location.
